This past Tuesday, my Google Meet with Ivan went unexpectedly well.
(No, it wasn’t actually a meeting to discuss his Mastery Ads Course, I actually discovered that after the call was setup.)
Ivan & I met to discuss AdsDroid because I have a specific goal.
I am going to help 10 authors ✍🏻 publish their books in 2024 through the growth of a new endeavor… BookStud.io
Backstory: For the past 6+ years I’ve been a Blogger. Or better said, I’ve been the Entrepreneur of a Blogging Business. (You can read more about that here, here, here, and listen about it here if you want to.)
I’ve been Publishing for years, but primarily in the form of blogs. At our organization’s peak, we published nearly a million words in one month across my clients’ and my own portfolio of blogs.
✍🏻 But I confess, I’ve hardly written a word myself in years.
“WHAAAAAAT!?” is a pretty typical response from my friends and family.
👉🏻 Anyways, back to the call with Ivan.
Since I’m aiming to help others write, craft, develop, and publish books now… I want to learn how to successfully promote those books on Amazon with a few strategies.
One is a little secretive, but I’ll talk about it on my Free Writer’s Newsletter you can sign up for on my personal website.
(I’m certain you already noticed the recent renovation at the recently revamped www.ForrestWebber.com, right? … that’s where you sign up for that aforementioned F.W. Newsletter)
The community of Hooked to Books is made up of Readers and Writers, and some who are both. Of course we all are, but I mean that there are new opportunities emerging that I want you to know about.
I write this email because I think it would be interesting to both.
In the Fall of 2018, I read Tanya Hall’s book “Ideas, Influence, and Income“, which opened my eyes to the multifaceted motivations of many “book business people”.
Not every author is exclusively aiming to make a Net Profit on their books!
Some authors write books to leverage other offerings in their life: their fame, their status, their business service offerings (creatively marketing stories and non-fiction books to showcase their expertise on a given subject matter), and the list goes on.
Ivan’s platform, AdsDroid, works especially well for authors with some other leveraged “upsell” involved in their marketing funnel.
👉🏻 Here’s the Statement: An author can achieve substantial profits if they use their book as a marketing device to serve a larger sales funnel.
👉🏻 Here’s the Math: If an author selling courses or services with a $20 book achieves an ACoS of less than 200% (the *advertising cost* to sell your book / the price of the book), and they convert 10% of their readers to clients or customers… they can profit
*This is assuming they make zero organic sales, or spend an average of 199% on their Ad Spend. In order words, they lose money on the books but make money on their upsells.
It’s becoming more and more difficult to make money from your books unless you strategize with a business mindset.
AdsDroids Agency and platform utilizes python coded software and Ai to help authors sell books via PPC campaigns.
I thought sharing this knowledge and these technological, modern, and business-marketing insights with you would provide a glimpse into one way I plan to serve authors.
If you’re not interested in writing a book, but want to put pen to paper creatively in a small way, did you know that on our Discord there’s a short-story contest you can participate in?
